I just set up my new site. https://bobbiedaisy.wordpress.com/ So I will not be posting at this one anymore.

Meal plan for August 18th- 23rd

I have not written on here because I have been super busy chasing my three and year old and one year old girls. Also there is another major thing keeping me busy. My husband got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have to cook three meals a day now every day. They have to be big meals with everything balanced now. Over these last five months there have been days and nights where I struggle with meal planning but I try to keep everything fun. So today I am going to list a few ways to make things fun while cooking for a diabetic.

1.) Play with different spice combinations. Some of the ones I have done are trying different mccormick spices. I really like the bacon and molassis spices on chicken. I also really like chipotle and garlic on pork chops. There are so many different spice combinations I haven't even tried yet. I don't think I will really ever run out of new spice combinations to try.

2.) Grill out. Right now is the prime time for this one. The summer heat is still here and it is fun to chase the kids through the yard and play with them while having food on the grill. I love to grill meat on the grill while using my spice combinations.

3.) Go and get local meat or veggies. I love to go to the farmers market and buy the veggies we need for the week. Fresh onions and green peppers are my favorites. I use them for my tacos and fajitas. I also love to buy lettace, carrots, and cucumbers and add them to the onions, and green peppers and make a big salad.

We also have a local brat shop that I love to buy fresh made brats from. We normally bring them back to the house and grill them. I am sure if you looked around your community I am sure there is some kind of meat made locally there.

These are three ideas that I implement in my house. I hope that this helped you keep your meals a little more on the healthy and fun side. This is what I aim for in my house, because after working a 60 hour week my husband doesn't really deserve boring food. Some diabetics may not be able to follow this meal plan, my husband can have russet and cheesy potatoes because he works 12+ hours a day so he needs to keep his carbs up so he doesn't go too low and get sick.

M- Oven chicken with chipotle and garlic seasoning, brown rice with peppers, onions, and garlic on the side.
T- Pulled pork sandwiches with whole wheat bread, and mashed potatoes on the side
W- chicken, bacon, ranch sandwiches, on homemade french bread
TH- Pork chops w/ cheesy potatoes on the side.
F- Cheeseburgers w/ bacon, mushrooms, and local corn on the cobb
S- grilled chicken + stuffing
Su- Locally bought Louies brats, with a salad and watermelon on the side.

Snacks
Apples with almond butter
Grapes
Watermelon
Cucumbers and carrots with french onion dip
Oatmeal energy bites

New Years resolutions

A new year is a new chance to accomplish goals. I really didn't do this on time but I still want to do this post so I am doing it now. Unfortunately the weather had me and my daughters sick for the last week. It has been in the negetive temps here in Wisconsin.

My goals are goals that will help my family. Some of my goals are easier to accomplish than others but they are all still very important.

My first goal is to get the dishes done every night before I go to bed. Dirty dishes sitting for a day or two has been a huge problem in my marriage. Hubby says I don't want to do them and I say I just don't have time or I am too tired. We decided that just getting them done the same night works for us, but he would buy me a bin to do them in so my leaking sink would irritate me less. Has been working great for two weeks now.

Second is to keep the house cleaner. I have been very tired the last year with the end of my pregnancy and dealing with both my three year old and ten month old not sleeping through the night so the house has been pretty dirty. Solution was hubby helped me clean it during his two week break. I just have to organise it further and keep it maintaned. It looks so much more cozy in our house with actually having less stuff and keeping it more organized. I also need to start teaching my three year old how to clean up her toys and things now. She begs to help and it is just so cute. My parents were never into organization so I would have never guessed it but I love it now.

Third is the most important and that is to spend more time with my husband. We can only raise our kids together and keep living our beautiful life together if we stay in love, and to stay in love we need to spend time together and reconnect at the end of every day. I will get his clothes for after his shower for him because I know it is one less thing he has to do at the end of a hard work day. We also do a lot of naps and cuddling if we can get the girls to take naps or the baby to take a nap and the three year old to watch a cartoon.

Love this verse. So true.

So these are my late new years resolutions? What are yours?

5 Top Ideas for Toddler and Baby Christmas

I have a few ideas that are very easy to implement for toddlers and babies for Christmas. I do this for both my nine month old Daisy and my three year old Bobbiesue.

1.)Something to cuddle. Little kids love things to cuddle. For Bobbie I bought a Frozen Elsa doll. She loves frozen. For Daisy we got her a huge stuffed bear and she absolutely loves it.http://www.toysrus.com/graphics/tru_prod_images/Disney-Frozen-Talking-Beanbag-Plush--pTRU1-15552355dt.jpg Elsa

2.) Something to wear. We bought Daisy some socks because she really needed them, and most of her clothes are hand me downs. For Bobbie we bought her some jeans. Jeans Not the same ones as these but they do have the designs and are the same brand.

3.) Something to play with. Daisy got some balls to chase. These exact ones. Love the girly colors. My mom bought her the octunes octopus and hide and squeek eggs Eggs and

Bobbie got playdoh Sophia

Influenster Buddy Fruits

I received the infleunster buddy fruits box. It was pretty good. I got the raspberry coconut milk one. I liked the texture, and most of the flavor. I did not like the coconut milk part though. My three year old daughter tried a little bit and she absolutely loved it. I would not buy it for myself. I would buy something like it for my three year old daughter though. I recieved this product for free to test.

Sorry this blog has really gotten away from me. I am now a mom of two cute little girls. My Bobbie is 3 now and Daisy is 6 months. It is crazy to be a mom of two but it is so fun. I now live in a new trailer in the same town in Wisconsin. I am trying to make most of my food from scratch now. It is somewhat cheaper and it is a lot healthier. It also takes a lot of time to do but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

This morning I woke up at 8:30 and just sat there and looked on the internet for a little while. Then I took a shower at 9. Bobbiesue woke up at 10 and took her antibiotics for her sinus infection. Then we put her hair up and got her dressed. Jimmy showed up at 10:15.

I went to see Dr. Gilbert today. She said I am doing awesome with my weight gain and it is perfect I am 1 cm oversized on the tummy measure again. She also said it is safe to use 1 B12 vitamin a day. This is so good with the weight gain because I gained too much weight with Bobbie. I am 198 right now and I was over 200lbs with Bobbie at this time.

Bobbiesue enjoyed hanging out with Jimmy this morning. He even helped her brush and put her hair up. Yes she is she is putting her hair up and keeping it up finally! Yay! I am so happy about this.
